ummm... no & yeses

This is something I do NOT want in an office. Too office-y.

Still to do in my office:
1) Replace the frames with the fonts on them. I wanted color. Now I want them all to be silver frames. I think I have plenty of color. Moving on. Green and turquoise is too kiddie. I'm almost 30. I've been looking around the room and I have a lot of silver elements in it which makes this girl happy as it was the plan all along.
2) Paint the office green. Yes. Let's do it.

3) Get this instead of the coffee table I have now. It's technically a "media" piece but I think it will work good as a coffee table. Twofold. Because it has a bottom shelf where I can put magazines that would still be on display but not taking up valuable Lascari's take out while watching Ally McBeal and doing your nails table top space. And because it'd be on wheels so I can roll it away when I move the fit into the middle for workout time.

4) Better chair. Doctor J my chiropractor said that the best kind of chair for my back is the kind where your shoulders and head are resting so I need a taller chair. Since I don't want it to be an ugly desk chair I am thinking about buying a cheap Ikea chair and buying a nice Bemz slipcover for it. Like this, which I've mentioned before and since I'm still not over the idea, I think I'll do it. I am running the risk of my mother effing cats deciding to use it as a scratching post but...

5) Some sort of tall plant or small tree in a big pot. I think this is the best way to add plant life in there without worrying about it being knocked over by cats and dogs. I read somewhere to just add a layer of pebbles to the top to prevent dogs from trying to dig it up. Plants also keep the air clean and just generally improve everything around them.
6) One of these lamps for the desk. Or something else. I have a green lamp there now that I got when it was on sale and now it's just meh. Never buy things on sale just 'cause they are.

7) Revisit the idea of having a tea bar in the office. I have a spare plug in hot pot I can just keep up here with the proper accessories on a tray and keep it up here full time.
8) Crosley duet radio. I just saw a post as I was organizing my blog posts by category about how I wanted a Crosley radio. In 2009. It's time.
9) New slipcover for the sofa. Something that would go with a green wall.
10) TV. Coming soon.
