I gotta say I'm pretty underwhelmed by the Target Christmas offerings this year. Things seem really low class and cheap this year, as if they're hoping people will get suckered into spending the same amount of money on things but not notice because they're spending it on cheaper things so they're getting more of it. I'll show you an example in a minute. The designs just aren't good enough to entice me into buying things I don't need, which is the entire point of Christmas shopping at Target!
I do like the idea of a colorful Christmas instead of a traditional one but none of these things really interested me.The ornament selection is really subpar. I usually buy an annual Target ornament but I'm having a hard time finding a decent one.
This one reminded me of last year's Christmas party though. Cute.
And while I'm into gold this year I just didn't really like any of these.
I do like the idea of a flamingo for my office Christmas tree but this one is really tacky.
These were tempting also for the office tree but they're glass. Glass + Cats = bad idea.
The part where I spent the most amount of money. And by most I mean about $20, was what I think they're trying to sucker you into doing this year. Instead of a big tree, they want you to get a bunch of little trees for all the rooms of your home and the work. Stupid Target don't you know I already do that. But how cute would it be to buy a little gold tree and take it to work?
Of course the addition of the white Christmas tree in the office led me to spend some time in this aisle. They made the tree skirts in two sizes for the medium tree and the baby tree and believe you me I'm all about the sequin colorful tree skirt.
And these mini tree toppers...
And the mini ornament balls...
I mean look at how mini!
As tempted as I was by all the colors I went with a silver tree skirt and silver star. It provided a good base for a tree full of colorful ornaments and it looks pretty great in the office. You be the judge...
