I've been seeing this trend lately with kitchen islands. It's a solid piece of marble that drapes from one end of the island to the other and makes a sort of upside down U but leaves a space to put a bunch of stools. It's really clean but involves a GIANT piece of marble.
See what I mean? Anyway, I love the trend. It's on my list for the future.
