geez, finally

The kids on the blog I frequent have been jumping the shark lately on their blog. But yesterday they came up with a pretty genius idea that's so simple I wish I'd thought of it. It concerns what to do with this here bookcase that I want to spice up.

They too purchased a tall boring Ikea bookcase.

But they ripped off the back of the bookcase.

Painter's taped the shape of the bookcase where it stood.

And painted the WALL behind the bookcase. DOH! Why didn't I think of that.

Our living room has the built ins look similarly with the blue paint on the walls.

And of course the styling makes it that much better.

About time these kids posted something useful. Not to bag, I mean, God Bless 'Em, they're good at doing what they do, I've just been kinda going elsewhere for my design highs.
