It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks so time to catch you all up on what's been happening around our parts. Of course expanded pictures are on facebook so hit me up there to see them all. Anyway, onward.
Saturday, May 28 was Lyla's first birthday! Liz really wanted to go to a water park and though the weather was iffy, the sun came out and off we went to Splash! with Angie in pigtails and flamingo swimsuit in tow.
The birthday girl wore a polkadot swimsuit with a tutu.
Huggy cousins. The girls had a ball. Their faces while we floated in the lazy river were combinations of happiness and fear and confusion but overall, they were happy and we all had a ball.
We had to have some cake and ice cream so after Splash! we headed to my house where Liz made Lyla three little cakes and Gaudy and she decorated them. Pics from here on by Gaudy who is a great photographer and has a much better camera than mine.
Family came by and the birthday girl did some dancing for us.
We let the kids get some hands on fun.
And we gave the kids a little parting candy box.
She looks so big!
And of course she was so exhausted by Splash! and all the party action that she fell asleep so we sang to the sleeping girl the quietest rendition of happy birthday to you of all time.
Happy 1st birthday little one. We love you so.
